GO RED FOR WOMEN

Needham’s Wear Red Day, starting at 1:00 p.m., we will be hosting an educational event at Powers Hall in Town Hall.  Come get a free blood pressure screening, watch Needham’s own Dr. Jane Fogg’s talk about the effects of heart disease on women, watch Elizabeth Bank’s comical short film “Just a Little Heart Attack,” watch videos from the American Heart Association explaining the warning signs of heart attacks in women, pick up literature to educate yourself and your loved ones about heart disease, and pick up your Red Dress pin.  Share your story of battling heart disease with others at our “It Can Happen to Anyone” table.  Fill out a registration card for Go Red For Women to show your support; take a quiz and get a dark chocolate heart.  Peruse local restaurant heart healthy recipes you can make at home. The Hall will be open until 5:00 p.m., so join us in getting the word out.The Needham Merchants Association, in conjunction with the Town of Needham Health and Planning Departments, and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham, is committed to spreading the word about heart disease and women.  They want to save lives by urging town-wide participation in the American Heart Association’s GO RED FOR WOMEN.
