State Treasurer Steve Grossman will deliver the keynote address at the Newton-Needham Chamber’s annual Achievement Breakfast on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 8 a.m. at the Needham Sheraton Hotel.
The breakfast – the largest annual gathering of area business and civic leaders – will also honor local businesses and individuals for their contributions to the economic and cultural vitality of Newton and Needham.
Grossman, a Newton resident and former businessman who was elected state treasurer in 2010, will deliver the keynote address and is expected to elaborate on his call for an online sales tax, a matter he recently described an issue of “Main Street fairness.”
“We’re really pleased to have Treasurer Grossman joining us this year as we celebrate and honor the best of Newton and Needham,” said Greg Reibman, the chamber’s president.
