Funeral Sunday for Selectman Chair Jerry Wasserman

The Newton-Needham Chamber is very sorry to report that
Jerry Wasserman, chairman of the Needham Board of Selectmen, died at his home Thursday afternoon after battling cancer. He was 65 years old.

The funeral will be at 3:00 on Sunday at Temple Beth Shalom with interment to follow at Needham Cemetery. Interment will follow at Needham Cemetary.

Needham Town Manager Kate Fitzpatrick has ordered that the United States flag be lowered to half-staff at all municipal buildings and grounds in the Town of Needham in honor Chairman of the Board of Selectmen Jerry Wasserman, who passed away at his home early Thursday afternoon. The flag will remain at half-staff until Monday.

A reception in Wasserman’s honor will be held at Powers Hall, Needham Town Hall, 1471 Highland Avenue, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday night.

The Chamber sends its condolences to Wasserman’s family, friends and colleagues.
