A Needham resident and managing director of the global investing firm Cambridge Associates, Holmes has been an effective long-time community leader. As chair of Lasell University’s board of trustees he has brought experience in board development and financial management to a period of transformation and growth for the Newton institution, where a significant portion of the student body is first-generation college students. During his time serving as chair, the organization has made significant campus renovations, grown the endowment, executed a successful capital campaign, and moved to university status. Holmes works tirelessly to support and promote higher education and the expansion of higher education access to minority communities. He has served on numerous boards including MassDevelopment and the CFA Society Boston. He also co-chairs the United Negro College Fund New England Leadership Council which awards student scholarships to historically Black colleges and universities.
