As your chamber looks back on 2020 … and forward to 2021, there’s two things we know for certain: ( 1) A robust and engaged membership is critical for our ability to advocate for the economic and cultural vitality of our communities and (2) The COVID-19 pandemic has hit some categories of business harder than others.
That’s why we’re launched the Pay It Forward Campaign.
The Pay It Forward Campaign raised funds from chamber members to establish a grant pool to help other members retain their status as active members – or become new members – and allow them access to chamber member benefits while supporting the chamber’s advocacy and programming.
Any amount helps offset dues for a local nonprofit organization or for-profit business. To give you an idea of how the dollars can help, annual membership costs range from $295 for a local nonprofit serving your community; $325 for your favorite local merchants and restaurants, and $345 for a small company with 2-10 employees.
At-risk small businesses will be able to apply for a confidential 50/50 matching grant for their 2021 chamber dues. A committee consisting of current engaged members will review the applications to determine viable, in-need candidates.
All donated funds will remain in the grant pool through COVID. If there are any funds left, they will be earmarked for future events that could negatively impact a businesses ability to stay current on dues, such as the Needham Street construction project, fire, natural disaster or other external event that might disrupt a business’ or nonprofit’s operation.
If you are an at-risk local restaurant, merchant, small business or nonprofit which has been severely impacted by COVID-19 please complete the application below to apply for a confidential 50/50 matching grant for your 2021 new or renewed chamber dues.
